Aoife
Aoife is the lead Paediatric Physiotherapist and founder of The Children’s Physio Ireland. Aoife has over 15 years of experience in children’s physiotherapy. She graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool in 2007.
Aoife initially worked in adult and sports physiotherapy before choosing to specialise in paediatric physiotherapy in 2010. Since then, she has gained vast experience across a range of settings, including mainstream and special needs schools, clinics, and home-based therapy.
In 2012, Aoife secured a senior position at the world-renowned Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where she developed her expertise in key paediatric specialities, including orthopaedics, neurology (with a special focus on neuromuscular diseases), hydrotherapy, respiratory physiotherapy, and musculoskeletal outpatients.

- Co-Secretary of the CPP (Chartered Physiotherapists in Paediatrics 2022, 2023, 2025)
- Expert panellist on student health during exams (RTE 2024)
- Contributor to the Irish Independent – providing expert insights on returning to sport post-COVID (2021) and advice on school bags and school shoes (2021).
Aoife’s extensive clinical experience makes her a well-rounded and highly skilled physiotherapist who always puts the child first.
As a mother of two, Aoife understands the worries parents may have about their child’s development no concern is too big or too small!
