What Are Developmental Milestones??
Within the first few years of your child’s life they have so much growing to do. This not only refers to their actual size but think of all the skills they need to master physically, mentally and emotionally.
Developmental milestones are essentially a set of guidelines that look at certain tasks your child “should” be achieving within a set timeframe.
In terms of your little one’s physical development here is a brief guide of what you should be seeing and when:
- rolling over approx 4-6 months
- sitting approx 6-8 months
- crawling approx 8-10 months
- cruising approx 10-12 months
- walking anytime from 8-20 months!
Delayed Milestones
“Failure” to meet a certain milestone within a particular time frame is often nothing to worry about and is just your child plotting their own path which they will be fiercely determined to follow without anyone else’s input thank you!
However if you have any concerns in the slightest, this is what to do…
